For Mum

Hi. Happy Monday!  Today, I'm sharing a card for Mother's Day.  I'm a little rusty with my colouring, so it's time to practise a little more.  And to make the card, I used this card sketch from Waltzing Mouse's challenge #44.
Here's the card:

I love, love this Rose stamp from Waltzing Mouse's "Roses in Bloom".  I coloured it with Copic Markers - YR02, YR12, YR24 for the flower centre, Y11, R24, R22, R20 for the petals.  The piercing around the card was made with help from Tim Holtz's ruler.  It's not very obvious in the photo, but I also did some scoring around the stamped image "Mum" just to emphasise it a little.

It's been awhile that I've not given Mum a Mother's Day card, and I hope she will like the card.

Have a great day!

Oh so beautiful! I love the way you colored the rose and the labels one frame, so elegant! That sweet October Afternoon floral paper peeking though is perfect with this image, as is your lovely embossing!

Wow...this is an awesome card. You really did a fabulous job shading your rose and doesn't it look lovely on your embossed background. Great job with the Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge this week.
