Just a short post to share a Birthday card made for my sister. Every time when I visit her, I would take countless photos of the beautiful roses and magnolias in her garden. They are all so pretty.
When considering ideas for her card, I just couldn't resist colouring this gorgeous Magnolia, a stamp by Melanie Muenchinger, Stately Flowers 3. I didn't have my camera, and somehow the photos with the iphone, doesn't look quite the same as the card in real life.
The Magnolia was coloured with Copic markers :
Flower centre - E30, E000
Petals - R00, RV10, RV52, RV55, Colourless Blender
Leaves - YG21, G40, G43, G46
Stem - E35, E30, G46, G40
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!

A Little Something for You
Hello! When this post goes live, I'll be back in Malaysia, spending some time with my parents. My dad recently lost another brother and it's sad that his passing was so unexpected. But, this is life, rather fragile and short - a reminder for me, to consciously live it better. Be a better daughter, sister, friend and person :)
Here's a little something for you to enjoy today...
using the image from Phyllis Harris' stamp "Hold Your Hand". A simple card - hope it brightens your day! Since you are here, why not join us at Unity Friends with Flair - we'd love to see your Unity creations.
Have a lovely day!

Happy Birthday Cards
I'm really not good at making CAS cards, but I thought I should give it a go for a change. On the first card, I diecut the window frame and attached the floral silhouette behind it. The hexagons in the background are from the set Inspired Shapes.
On the second card, I tried the chalkboard technique. I stamped both the images and white embossed them and sponged some white ink around the edges. This card was fun to create.
For the third card, I stamped the image with a purple chalk ink and added some pearls for the flower centres. The sentiment was stamped on a diecut piece and adhered to the card.

Thinking of You
Have you been to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show? If you haven't, you must do - there are lots of wonderful floral creations! After you have seen the creations, you might want to enter the WMS Flower Show competition ;)
I love flowers, if I were to count the stamp sets I own, probably flowers would top the list. At the WMS Flower Show, I was really inspired by Meredith MacRitchie's creation.
She had so many wonderful things going on in this card. I love the colours of the flowers on her card with the rock and roll technique, and the white embossing that she did. I think her card looked fantastic.
So, here's my take:
I used my favourite WMS floral set "Roses in Bloom" and coloured the roses with Copic Markers (R30, RV21, RV13, RV14, RV17, RV19, RV69).
Then I stamped the same flower using Versamark inkpad and white embossed the flowers. To give some definition, I sponged some Versamagic SeaBreeze around the flowers.
On the card, I added a sentiment from "Compact Sentiments" and the frame from "Very Vintage Labels 25". I used the rock and roll technique on the Vintage label with Memento Teal Zeal and Tuxedo Black. Seeing this will be a Birthday and Mother's Day card for mum, I added a little sewing machine charm to the ribbon & button corner. My mum loves roses and she loves sewing, although she doesn't sew that much these days as her eyesight is failing. I know she is going to enjoy the card.
Here's the finished card:
Thank you Meredith for inspiring me to create this card - Hugs to you!! I had so much fun!

Faith, Hope and Love
Hello, it's end of the week again, and time for another Unity card post. I made this card some weeks ago but it's so hard to photograph. All because the card can't stand up on its own :-D
The image is pretty large, but I love how it takes the centre stage on the card. The image is from Unity Phyllis Harris: The Heart of a BFF. This card is going out to a dear friend of mine, who has demonstrated what it means to have the heart of a BFF. She was there for my parents when none of us kids could be present, and that means a lot.
The cardbase is glued at the top end where the bow is. I scored the back piece of the card so that the card can be flipped up easily. The girls are coloured with Copic markers, and I'm sorry I had forgotten to note down the colours used.
That's it from me ;) Hope you like the card. Enjoy the hop with the Unity Friends with Flair today!
Take care!

Happy Birthday
Hello Friends! I have a Waltzing Mouse Stamps card to share - I hope it is appropriate for this month's Blog Party theme. Although my part of the world is officially in Autumn, but the weather is still warm and lovely.
I'm challenging myself to put away my markers and do some basic stamping, which I've not done for a long while. So, using Claire's recent release sets, I've created a floral Birthday card, almost a one layer card :) The sets I used are Folk Art Medallion and Folk Art Label 25.
I love how how easy it is to layer with these sets and create my own floral background. Does it look as though I had to fill in every little space of the cardstock? LOL! It must be I was having so much fun with the stamping and the colours, that I overdid it.
Thank you for visiting me.
Have a fabulous day!!

Thank You
I love the new Inspired Stamps Typewriter alphabets. The two coordinating sets are Typewriter Text: Upper Case and Typewriter Text: Lower Case. I love the ability to create my own bold sentiments. As much as I love colouring, sometimes I just want a quick and easy card, and the Alphabet sets are great for this.
On my card, I arranged the word "Thank" on an acrylic block and stamped it onto a white cardstock with a bright teal ink. The word "You" is a diecut which is perfect on this card. With some patterned paper strips, fancy borders and a cute little charm, the card is done.

Whisper of God
So glad the weekend is here again. I'm really looking forward to spending time with my stamps...LOL! Sometimes I think I live for the weekend - where I can just stamp and colour and forget about the rest of the world.
Recently, I picked up a number of Unity Phyllis Harris stamps during the Unity sale. Of all that I purchased, this
is my favourite set "Let Love Fly". I wonder if this girl is catching the butterflies in her net and then setting them free? It brings back such wonderful memories of my childhood days of catching butterflies in my aunt's massive garden.
The image is coloured with Copics:
Hair - E99, E25, E23, E21
Skin - E50, E01, E13
Dress - B41 B45, Colourless blender
Grass - G40, G43, G46
Net - E25, E21, BG0000
Butterflies - G00, BG10
Flowers - R22
Hope you like the card. Be sure to stop by the Unity Blog and inspired by the Unity Friends with Flair ladies.
Happy Weekend!

Mother's Day card
Hi Friends! Today we're sharing a Mother's Day card with Inspired Stamps. My card is simple - I used the 1.5" Circle Greeting set - love this set! The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock, and cut out using a circle die. I added some colouring on the centre panel of the circle sentiment with Copics BG01, to match the blue cardstock.
Recently, my friend and I talked about colour combo, and how some colours just don't go well together. I hardly use orange in my cards, but I quite like how orange goes with blue.
The centre piece underneath the sentiment is a cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I don't use the Cameo often enough :) With some diecuts and a rolled flower, the card is ready.

Hope you like this idea.
Have a wonderful day!

Beach girl
Hi! Just sharing a card using my first La-La Land stamp set. I thought this little girl image is perfect for a summery Birthday card. It was fun colouring her, she's pretty cute, isn't she?
Stamp set : Summer Marci
I forgot to note down the Copics I used to colour her. The patterned paper is from October Afternoon, the dies used are from My Favorite Things and a Martha Stewart border punch.
Have a great week!

Miracles!
Hello Everyone! I can't believe the days are whizzing by so fast. It's Friday again and time to play along with my Unity Friends with Flair.
This week, I pulled out an older stamp set by Phyllis Harris, Miracles Happen. I love this girl, the wind in her hair and dress. She makes me smile and I love the sentiment "miracles happen everyday" - what a beautiful thought!
I'm not really good with the sewing machine but I wanted to use the metallic embroidery thread my friend bought for me. The metallic effect is not really evident in the photo but I promise you it looks quite lovely in real life.
Thank you for visiting, and thanks for taking time to leave me a comment. It's always exciting (just like getting a present) to read what you think and your kind words of encouragement. It means a LOT!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Inspired Stamps April Release!
Hello and Welcome to the Inspired Stamps Release for April!! Antoinette has some Awesome new sets this month. On my card, I've used 3 of the sets, i.e. the new Typewriter Text Alphabet Uppercase and Lowercase sets and Time.
Here is my card:
I don't normally use Alphabets on my cards, and I thought perhaps an interesting way to incorporate it, is to stamp a focal word from the Scripture sentiment that I've chosen. The sentiment I used is from the Time set and I stamped the word "TRUST" on a banner. I think it accentuates the key word of the sentiment. The Scripture from Psalm 62:5 is a reminder for me, as I often want to take charge of my own life that I forget to trust God.
I love the new Time set, and I made another card, a more masculine themed card.
Please head over to the Inspired Stamps Blog to discover the Wonderful samples the Design Team has created with the new April release!
Don't forget the new stamps will be in the store on Friday noon time. Please check it out on the Inspired Stamps store.
Thank you for visiting me ;)
