Thinking of You

To complete my participation in the Altenew Educator Program Level 1,
Virginia has issued me a challenge to create with the following conditions:
- select ANY 3 components from the classes in Level 1
 - create a thinking of you/encouragement theme card/project

I couldn't wait to get started. I decided to create a Thinking of you card and using the components All About Layering, Die Cutting Technique and Let It Shine.  The Altenew products I used are Ornamental Flower stamp, Layered Medallions Cover Die B, Thinking of You die and various Altenew Ink pads.

Here's my card project;

Firstly I adhered the Medallions Cover die onto a cream cardstock. I stamped and fussy cut out the Ornamental flower and the leaves.  I love the beautiful Ornamental Flower layering stamp, such lovely details in the flower and leaves. Next, I die cut the sentiment from gold glitter cardstock and assembled the flower just behind the sentiment.

I was happy with how all the elements came together on this card.

I'm so glad I signed up for the Altenew Educator Certification Program.  It was such a rewarding and fun experience.

Thank you for visiting me.

Have a great day!

Thank you card

It took sometime but I'm so glad to complete my assignments, well almost.

The products I used for the Irresistible Inking technique are Layered Medallion Cover Die A, Altenew Inks Rouge, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Evergreen, Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf and Build-A-Flower Camellia stamp set.

Layered Medallions Cover Die A - Altenew

I used the Medallion Cover Die A and die-cut it on a piece of white cardstock.  I used a brayer and inked the die-cut with Rouge ink.

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on a piece of vellum cut to 1.5" width and heat embossed with Black embossing powder.  The sentiment piece is adhered to the bottom part of the die-cut.

The camellia layered stamps are stamped using Altenew inks Sunkissed, Orange Cream and Autumn Blaze on white cardstock.  The leaves are stamped with Altenew inks Evergreen, Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf.  All the stamped pieces are die-cut using the coordinating dies, arranged and adhered onto the card as shown.

Thanks for visiting me.

Have a great day!

Congratulations - Baby card

I'm back with another card for the Altenew Educator Program. It's been a long break as my dad recently passed and it was hard to create, but it's all good now.

I used the Baby Zoo stamp set and the coordinating dies to create this scene baby card.

Baby Zoo Stamp Set - Altenew

I started with a piece of white cardstock and did some inking for the background.  I used Distress Oxide inks.  For the ground, I used Distress Oxides Gathered Twigs and Aged Mahogany. I cut a mask for the sun and inked Distress Oxides Carved Pumpkin nearer to the sun and blend it out with Wild Honey.  Just above the ground, I applied Tattered Rose and Seedless Preserves lightly. Lastly I blended everything with Squeezed Lemonade.  Then I removed the mask and with a Jumbo Dauber I sponged Warm Sunshine ink for the sun. The background is die-cut using a stitched rectangle die.  To add a little interest, I sprayed some sparkle shimmer spray on the background.

The animals are stamp with various Altenew inks - Elephant with Evening Gray, Lion with Peach Perfect and the Giraffe with Caramel Toffee.  The animals are adhered to the background with the elephant slightly raised with foam adhesive.

The sentiment Congratulations is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  The smaller sentiment is stamped with black ink.

This was a fun card to put together.  I hope you like it.

Unity Hop {12 March 2018}

Hello!
So glad you are hopping with us.
I'm sure the ladies before me have showcased some awesome samples with the new releases.

Let's jump into the cards...

I coloured this sweet Angie Girl  with Copic Markers and finished off the card by giving her outfit and flower centres some shimmer. I hope you can see bits of it in the photo.

I really love this mermaid Angie girl.  To add a little ocean feel to the card, I used a stencil on the background and sponged some Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio).

I have to include a card with the March KOTM. This imaged was coloured with Zig Clean Color markers - I love how they blend so well.

This has to be my new favourite Sentiment Kit and here are two cards I made.

Thank you for stopping by.

The next stop is Mandi's blog
and I'm sure she has some amazing ideas to share.

Here is the list of everyone hopping today in case you need it.
