Unity Thursday Hop 28-08-2014

Hello again!  It's time for Unity Thursday - woo-hoo!  I can't believe how fast time has gone this year - it's the end of August!  Winter is over and we're looking forward to sunny days.  I can't really complain cos Perth has such great weather.

Next week a new KOTM will be out, and if you are thinking of getting this month's Fabulous Kit, let me share a project using the gorgeous butterfly stamp & the cute sentiment.

I played with some translucent embossing paste with a stencil to brighten up the background paper.  It's all very glittery and I also added some shimmer spray on it.

You all know how I love PH stamps, so here's a sample from the recent release...

Happy Hopping with us!

The Gift

Hello Friends!  This week our Inspired Stamps project is based on a theme of our choice.  I am sharing a Scripture card based on the verse Romans 6:23.

Indeed the Gift of God is obtained through Christ and we are all so undeserving of it.  I added lots of hearts on the card as it is the love and grace of God that have brought us life.  Something that I need to be reminded of each day for life is too short.

May you be encouraged today.  Please visit the Inspired Stamps Blog to discover all the fabulous projects in store today.

Thanks for visiting me.

Fall Card

Today we are showcasing Fall card with Scripture.  I often struggle with Fall theme as down South we don't really have celebrations during Fall or Autumn as we call it.

This Scripture sentiment is another old favourite.  I added some die-cut leaves along the side and I think the colours gives the card a feel of Fall.

Please visit the Inspired Stamps Blog for all the wonderful ideas from the DT.

Thank you for visiting me.

Brandy & Emma

Hello again!  Thank you so much for all the lovely comments yesterday {smiles}!  I cannot wait to share another PH card today using this sweet Brandy and Emma set.
I was inspired to colour this image as it reminded me of my friend's dog - I stopped by her place after work today, and her dog couldn't stop licking my fingers.

Isn't he cute?  He's the friendliest dog ever.

If you are a fan of Phyllis Harris, like me, you really need to check out the new PH releases today!

Have a good weekend!

Unity Thursday Hop 14-08-2014

Yay, it's time for Unity Thursday Hop!!  This week, there are some wonderful new stamps which I'm sure you will LOVE!!

Let's get into it.. :)
This Awesome set was released last week, and I absolutely Adore it!!  I have never coloured a buck before, so it was pretty exciting.  I found it works for me to google for some buck images and learn how to colour with the help of the image.

Next is a card using the August KOTM.  Sometimes a sentiment is all the card needs, and I love the font and the layout of this sentiment.

Finally, this has to be my favourite new Phyllis Harris stamp!

I am trying out a new white cardstock - realised the ink blends pretty well but the colour is a little lighter than when I use Neenah.  I quite like the result, a softer look.

Check this out!!!

Remember there are TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Saturday night on the Unity blog.

That's all from me.

Enjoy the hop!!

They That Wait...

Happy Inspired Stamps Thursday!  Today I have a Scripture card to share from Isaiah 40:31.  It's another favourite verse of mine.

I wanted a colourful card but still let the verse be the focal point.  It was fun to work on this card, trying a different style, and hope you like it.

Please visit the Inspired Stamps Blog for more Scripture cards from the DT.

Have a great day!
