Unity Hop {25 August 2017}

Hello Everyone! So glad you stop by.
Unity is releasing some new Phyllis Harris stamps!!
I know many of you will be so thrilled just like me.  I LOVE Phyllis' stamps.

No automatic alt text available.
This new kit is called Part Of Us, and I love how the cat and dog sat together like friends.

I must apologise for the less than perfect lighting - I have been going home so late from work when daylight is gone...lol!

I have a second card using the set Looking Within.  I love the sentiment by Helen Keller and the pretty flowers around the girl.

My next card uses the set Feathers, Wings and Refuge.

My friend is going through a tough time at work and I wanted to give her a card to encourage her.

I kept the card really simple and let the image and the sentiment be the focal point. I hope she will like the card.

Here's my last card uses So Lucky To Have You kit.

I wish I had time to play with all the new sets.  They. Are. Amazing!!!

Thank you for visiting me!  I hope you'll enjoy the hop and be so inspired to create today.

Happy Shopping!!

Unity cards, June 2017

Hi Everyone! Hope you are having a great week!

I thought it would be nice to share the Unity cards I made this month which are not yet published on my blog.

These cards are for the most recent Unity release over the weekend, featuring my favourite Unity artist, Phyllis Harris.  Click here to see all the new releases or here.

This mermaid card was created for Unity's blogpost on 20th June.  I used the sweet kit by Susan K Weckesser, Spirit of a Mermaid.

Hope you like the cards above.

Thank you for visiting me.

Unity Thursday Hop {16-10-2014}

It's my favourite day of the week! I'm positive you will love the Awesome Phyllis Harris Unity releasing today and I can't wait to share them with you.

How about some non-traditional Christmas colours?  Always partial to orange and blue colour combo, and thought it would be nice to try that on a Christmas card.

Look forward to hear what you think... :)

Next is a more traditional Christmas card.

Love how serene this little girl looks.  It has been so hot this week, and I'm half wishing for some winter weather ;)

That's it from me, and I'm sure you can't wait to finish the hop and shop!

Thank you for visiting me.

Unity Thursday Hop 28-08-2014

Hello again!  It's time for Unity Thursday - woo-hoo!  I can't believe how fast time has gone this year - it's the end of August!  Winter is over and we're looking forward to sunny days.  I can't really complain cos Perth has such great weather.

Next week a new KOTM will be out, and if you are thinking of getting this month's Fabulous Kit, let me share a project using the gorgeous butterfly stamp & the cute sentiment.

I played with some translucent embossing paste with a stencil to brighten up the background paper.  It's all very glittery and I also added some shimmer spray on it.

You all know how I love PH stamps, so here's a sample from the recent release...

Get ready for some fab Sale this week...

Happy Hopping with us!

Brandy & Emma

Hello again!  Thank you so much for all the lovely comments yesterday {smiles}!  I cannot wait to share another PH card today using this sweet Brandy and Emma set.
I was inspired to colour this image as it reminded me of my friend's dog - I stopped by her place after work today, and her dog couldn't stop licking my fingers.

Isn't he cute?  He's the friendliest dog ever.

If you are a fan of Phyllis Harris, like me, you really need to check out the new PH releases today!

Have a good weekend!

Kary

No Fears

Hello Friends!  It's been a long week of work, and I'm ready for the weekend!!  Friday is a day I look forward to every week because it's time to hop with my Unity FWF friends, and to check out the Unity Sale...

Last weekend was Amazing!  My brother was in town for a short visit with a good friend of ours, and while we were away for the weekend, I found out that I was invited to be part of the Unity Design Team!  I can't thank all of you enough for the sweetest wishes, I guess you can imagine I was over the moon!  I really look forward to work with such a wonderful group of talented ladies.

A little bit about the weekend trip - we went south to a little town called Denmark and the surrounding area. Yupe, I bet most people may not know, Denmark is a place south of Perth and it's beautiful.  Along the way, we stopped by a National Park, and my energetic brother made us climb up the hill to see the Balancing Rock and the Granite Skywalk.  The climb was exhausting for me, totally unfit!! But, I'm glad I did it - the view was lovely and the experience was unforgettable.  One needs a strong heart with no fear of heights to climb the 7m ladder up to the Granite Skywalk.

Here's the Phyllis Harris - I have No Fears card for this week, and I think that's kinda how I felt standing on top of the hill and marveling at the view...

And, of course I have to share some of the beautiful places we went to.  Hope you enjoy them.

Porongurup National Park - just before the climb uphill
After 2.2km hiking uphill, we arrived at the Balancing Rock
I didn't take this pic, but this is the Granite Skywalk climb not far from the Balancing Rock

There, I'm sure you'd love to visit Western Australia after seeing all these photos, huh.

Thanks for visiting me, have a wonderful Friday and weekend!!

How could I ask for More?

So very glad Friday is here again :)  I think I say this every Friday.  Feels great that it's end of the week, and time to join my friends in the Unity FWF post.  Plus, I am looking forward to make more cards over the weekend.  What about you?

My Friday Unity card is an older stamp set by PH - Just Breathe, I just can't get enough of PH stamps :)  They bring a smile every time, and they are great images to improve my colouring.

I am just going to do nothing this weekend, except make cards and read some books, and maybe bake a cake.  Hope you'll have a wonderful time too!

Take care!
Kary

Just You and Me

It's Friday, and my very first Unity Friends with Flair post for the year!!  So very glad to be back and I will try harder to post every week.

I've had 2 wonderful weeks in Malaysia, and it was great to spend Christmas with my parents and a short trip to Cambodia.  Towards the end of the trip I caught a flu bug and had to start the year being sick :)

My sister had given me this beautiful border lace and the fabric flower which I think dressed up this card nicely.  I used the image from Stamp of the Week - Let Beauty Surround You, and coloured the girl's top to match the colour of the flower.  The sentiment is from the PH set And for a Moment.  Have you seen the new Phyllis Harris stamps?  I can't wait to get them :) So excited!

And, since I mentioned Cambodia, I'll share some pics from the trip.  I visited Siem Reap, well known for its amazing temples, one of which was the site where the movie Tomb Raider was filmed.  I had a great time, and really enjoyed the food as well as a peek into the lives of the locals.  It's a place I wouldn't mind going again...

This was the temple area where Tomb Raider was filmed. Look at that amazing tree growing on top of the temple!

A closer look at the temple

Amazing engineering, in the 12th century, man figured out how to distribute the weight away from the centre of the structure

Long corridor just outside the temple

View from the top of the highest temple in Angkor Wat

The guide told us this is the difficult climb to the temple, the height of the temple brings one closer to heaven.

Another temple view

The 4 smiling faces of buddha

This tree gleams in the sun, coppery and so beautiful

A visit to the waterfall on Mt Kulen

My favourite dessert in Cambodia - Chocolate Banana Pancake, absolutely delicious!!
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Have a great weekend!!
