Welcome to the second day of the May Inspired Stamps Sneak Peek! Jenn and I are showcasing the set Inspired Shapes today. I have to say there are so many possibilities with this set. If you love Art Journalling, you'd have to have it! If you are not really into Art Journalling nor mixed media, like me, you'll find this set utterly fun too. I love geometric shapes and there are some cool shapes in this set!
For my card, I decided to use the hexagon border. Hexagons are certainly so trendy right now. On a piece of pink cardstock, I stamped the hexagon border a few times as shown, and coloured them with Copic Markers. Here are the colours I used: Bottom row - RV63, RV66. RV69, Next row up - BV00, BV02, BV04, 3rd row up - RV14, RV17, RV19, 4th row up - V12, V15, V17, Top row - RV00, RV02, RV04. After colouring the borders, I embossed the pink cardstock with an embossing folder. The sentiment is from Guard Your Heart set, and I inked up part of the stamp with Memento Grape Jelly.
Here's another look at the card:
I hope you are excited about this new release, they will be available at noon, this Friday. Be sure to check Jenn's awesome project as well as the Inspired Stamps blog.
Take care!

Kary,
I love the warm cozy feeling that the embossed cardstock created. Your coloring is beautiful. Beautiful card you have now given me ideas on how to use the hexagon strip, (I was kinda stumped)

Such a fab effect with these graphic shoes, your shading has really given this card dimension, and I love the embossed pattern too.
the embossing over the colored images is such a fabulous touch. I'm going to have to remember that! so pretty kary.
