Thinking about You

For today's Inspired Stamps project, we're sharing artwork based on the theme of "Love".  I guess it's really appropriate with the whole world celebrating Valentine's Day this week.  For me, it's a time to reflect and celebrate friends and family who love us and have always been there for us.

I used the heart from the set "Guard Your Heart" and stamped it on a piece of patterned paper with red ink.  The heart piece was layered on another similar patterned paper and I stamped the 1.5" round sentiment from the set "1.5" Circle Greetings" off on the side.  The bottom section of the circle sentiment was coloured with Copic marker (R01) to match the patterned paper.  The heart was adhered to an embossed cardbase, and I couldn't resist adding some washi tapes and a flourish diecut to finish off the card.

Make A Wish

Looks like I'm making good progress inking up the Phyllis Harris stamps the past couple of weeks ;)  This is one of my favourites "Wishing We're Forever Friends".  It was a challenging one to colour, but it was worth it - so much fun.  Though I must admit one probably wouldn't find skies like that in real life...{grin}.  Plus, I can't seem to get the photos to look like the card in real life :(

Give Thanks

Hi!  The weather has been beautiful this week.  Really hot, but... give me bright sunny days anytime and I won't complain.  Hope all is well where you are too.

This week's Inspired Stamps artwork is DT's favourite.  It was a little difficult as I have so many favourite images and verses.  I realised I've never shared this cute stamp set "Abigail Dances".  On the card with Abigail, I selected my favourite verse from the Fall Gratitude set.

I used a lot of Copics colouring Abigail:

True Friends

Hi Friends!  So glad the weekend is here again.  I just want to do nothing except work in my craft room all day... what about you?  Got home from work feeling so tired, but I didn't want to let the day pass without making a card.  Do you ever feel the same?

I have seen so many beautiful cards with this set from Phyllis Harris "Easier with YOU by my side". I love the sentiments in this set and of course the image is just adorable.  So, here's my take:

 Hello Friends! It's time for Thursday project with Inspired Stamps.  I broke out a new set Owls - this is such an Awesome set, with such cute owls and lovely sentiments which you can mix and match.  On my card I used one of the owls and coloured it with Copic Markers (E11, E13, E15, E02, E00, E70, E74)

The sentiment I used was from the Stamp set Thank You, stamped directly onto the pattern paper.  To add some interest to the card, I added some stitching around the patterned paper.

Be Happy

So glad it's the weekend!  How are you?  What are your plans this weekend... I hope it will be lovely.  I'm showcasing another Phyllis Harris stamp set "Beauty Around You" today.  It's not my best colouring effort but the card made me happy.

I didn't add the sentiment on the front of the card, because I think the image says it all.  The joy on the kids' faces and the cherry blossoms give the feel of a beautiful spring day.

The Copic Markers I used are - Girl's dress (R22, R24, R29, Colourless blender), Skin (E000, E01, E11, R21), Hair (E21, E25, E99), Flowers (RV11, Colourless blender), Boy's outfit (Y23, YR0000, B02, B05), BG0000 and C00 in the background.

Inspired Stamps - Winter card

Hello, this week's Inspired Stamps project is a Winter themed card.  I have to admit it's a little hard to be thinking of Winter when the weather has been so hot and humid in Australia ;)

I used the new Snowmen set, which is such a cute set for my card.  I stamped the same snowman on my card three times with a bit of masking technique.  The Snowmen were coloured with Copic makers (R32, R35, B91, B93, YG03, YG17, BG0000).  I love the sentiment which is in an open font and I added some colour with Copic marker B91.

The bottom section of the card was embossed using a snowflake border die.  I added some colour to the embossed snowflake using BG000 and G00.  To finish up the card, I added some blings and twines and button at the top of the card.
