Flowers

Our challenge this week at Inspired Stamps is a Flower card with Scripture.  There's so many Inspired Stamps floral sets to choose from, but I love this set, Butterflies and Blooms.

 

Using the butterfly on the two flowers stamp, I masked off the butterfly and stamped the flowers on white cardstock.  Then, I added some colours using Copic Markers and finish off with the punched butterflies.  The sentiment is from the set Fall Gratitude.

Give Thanks

Hi!  The weather has been beautiful this week.  Really hot, but... give me bright sunny days anytime and I won't complain.  Hope all is well where you are too.

This week's Inspired Stamps artwork is DT's favourite.  It was a little difficult as I have so many favourite images and verses.  I realised I've never shared this cute stamp set "Abigail Dances".  On the card with Abigail, I selected my favourite verse from the Fall Gratitude set.

I used a lot of Copics colouring Abigail:
Hair : E99, E21, E23, YR23,0
Eyes : YG03, BG10, G00, G0000
Skin : E000, E01, E31, R20
Outfit & shoes : R32, R35, R37, R39, R01, R11, R12, RV91, RV93, RV95

Outline : BG10, BG000

Inspired Stamps - Easel Card

Welcome to Thursday with Inspired Stamps!  This week the DT is focussing on Easel cards with Scripture.  I must admit, I've not tried making fancy Easel cards, so I'm sharing just a basic one today with a slightly fancy front panel.

Here's the front of the card.  The size of the easel card base measures 3-7/8 x 3-7/8 when folded, which is determined by the fancy front panel and mine is a Nesting Doily square die-cut.  To decorate the front panel, I adhered a piece of printed vellum.  The Scripture sentiment is from the "Fall Gratitude" set, adhered just below the flower.  The flower image is from mini stamp set "Flowers" and I did some quick colouring with Copic Markers (Flower centre - Y35, Y38 & Petals - Y11, Y21).  The flower was adhered on top of a Rosette medallion.

On the inside of the card, I cut a rectangular piece using a Nesting Doily rectangle die.  I adhered it to the card using pop dots, and I stamped the Thank You sentiment from Perfect Sentiments set and the Rectangle frame from Label Maker Alphabet set.  The Rectangle frame outline was coloured using Y35 & Y38.

Inspired by Fall

Happy Thursday!  Today, Antoinette challenged us to make a Fall card.  Even though I live in country where we experience only two seasons (i.e. hot & humid or rain & humid weather), I've always loved the significance of Fall and the celebration of Thanksgiving.  I feel it's important to have a season to be thankful for all the blessings of life.

For my card, I used the Fall Gratitude stamp set.  I chose the sentiment from Psalm 107:1 as the main focal image.  The leaves and the loops were coloured using Copic Markers ( YG03, YG93, YG95 & YR24)  and the edges were sponged with Distress Ink Wild Honey.  The three sweet pumpkins at the bottom were coloured with YR07, YR15 & Y17 and YG91, YG93 and YG95.  Here's a look at awesome set :
