Thanks!

Today's theme for the Waltz is Gratitude/Thanksgiving.  I love this theme as there is so much to be thankful for - family & friends, good health, peace and small joys like having a hobby I enjoy.  My card is a simple one today, for I ran low in inspiration and been a little busy.

My stamp pad somehow did not cooperate when I inked up the stamps and so the images came out pretty distressed (sad!).  I used three stamp sets for this card, Gingham & Co polka dots background, Eat Cake set for borders and cake and sentiment from Say It Loud set.  Lots of things didn't go right with this card somehow which made me a little sad.  I thought of not posting this but then decided well, everyone has good and not so good days... so here it is.

I look forward to check out all the fabulous projects from everyone who is waltzing today.  You can check out the list here.

Have a great week!

I disagree, Kary, there is TONS of inspiration here! That stamped and sparkly border!!!! It's so perfect and makes such a lovely frame for your card. The purple is striking with the white background, and I just love your teeny cake! Love you made your dotted panel scalloped, what a sweet little detail!

I think your card is lovely Kary and I would have thought the ink distrssing was deliberate if you hadn't said anything. I particularly like your border - its gorgeous.

I love how you used your cake stamps to create that funky border! I hate it when inks won't play, but I think your card is lovely!

Aw Kary, don't be sad! We're always our worst critic;) I love the frame you did! And I love that you chose purple. I'm always drawn to purple cards, but for some reason, I hardly ever choose it for my cards, lol!

Hey distressed is "in" :) Really this is a wonderful card! How did you do the scalloped dot layer - masking or is it its own layer? I love the way you did the border frame, very cool!

Hi,
I know about those days, where just nothing seems to work.
But I think your card turned out very pretty with the distressed look. :)
