A Thousand Miracles

Somedays I think my life is so ordinary and boring.  I'm typically a person who loves exciting adventures and learning new things, and not very good at being still.  When I came across this sentiment "In every ordinary day there are a thousand miracles" it was a good time to pause and reflect.  So true, isn't it?  I wrote about my dad before, that his memory is fast deteriorating.  These days he takes a longer time to remember my name :-(.  I feel so afraid to face the day when he no longer remembers who I am.  Now that I'm away from home, I know he looks forward to my calls and it's amazing that he recognises my voice.  We chat about the little things, and about God and faith too.  Small miracles, right?

Today's tag is also a response to the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.  I don't often make tags, I'm not sure why.  Perhaps I find it hard to work with a smaller area.  I decided on a CAS tag with no other embellishments except stamp images and some colour.  I hope you like the result.

Thanks for visiting me, and I so appreciate your comments & support. {smiles}  I hope your day is filled with many wonderful miracles.

Another miracle is the miracle of good friendship :). Love the crimson colour paper and the seashells remind me of a walk along the beach.

Beautiful tag Kary - love the colours and the sentiment is so true.
My heart flinched for you when you spoke of your Dad not recognising you, but it is true that the hearing is the last sense to 'go', so maybe that is why he recognises your voice so easily.

This is such a wonderful tag, Kary. The sentiment is so very true and I thank you for the reminder that even the most simple of days, tiny miracles can be found. Love the inspiration I get from your project.

Hello dear Kary!

This tag is sooo pretty and I love the saying! Well, I'm pretty good in not taking on any adventures, hi hi, though I don't mind if I do so, as well. I just like both and especially a mix of adventurous times and relaxed ans quiet times! I do love my peace and quiet and need that actually every now and then.. So sad that your father is getting worse and I think it's one of the most terrible things if your parents don't know who you are when they see you. We had that with Pim's grandparents as well and Pim's mum was so sad about this. Hope it will still take a loooong time and, yes, just enjoy for now if he is happy to see or hear you! Well, in his heart he will alwways be, for sure, but maybe some day his mind won'y keep up with his heart anymore.. Hugs to you all, my dear! And you tag is a true beauty!!
Love, Wendy

I don't make tags often either, we get so used to working in one size don't we/ This one is gorgeous, thank you for the quote, so very true to always focus on the good things that are right in front of us.
If that day does come, find peace and strength in the promise that his inability to recall it is temporal, and that you'll one day be reunited for eternity with perfect minds that will never fade or grieve.
hugs to you!!

Kary, your tag is wonderful! I love the saying, and you have used the stamp set so beautifully on both your tag, and on the card Melanie is showcasing on her blog today. I'm so sorry for what you are going through with your father. It's so difficult to watch your loved ones fade away. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy each precious moment with him. Cyber hugs to you my friend - beautiful work!!!
