Here's the first card I made for Challenge 1 - Tie a Knot in It
I used the Safe Harbour Sentiments and the Ocean Bound sets with an older set Very Vintage Labels 18. Claire makes such great sets to play with and I had so much fun making the card.
I think the nautical theme is so great for masculine cards, and I am needing a few of these soon for my friends' birthdays.
For Challenge 2 - Get Nauty, I had more or less the same layout as the first. When I looked at two cards, I couldn't really decide which challenges they should be paired with, cos I think they fit both the challenges...LOL!
Here's the card, I think it's a slightly fun card for a cool guy, maybe..
Challenge 3 is colour inspiration, something I always have trouble with. I'm not the most patient person, and I want to finish making cards really fast, and having to find colours which match is always a huge challenge for me. But, I was determined to play along.
Here's my take:
Finally, for Challenge 4 - Oldest Stamp it was fun to search out the Oldest stamp set in my stash.
On this card, I just couldn't resist adding the oldest (Very Vintage Labels 4) with a newer set (Compact Sentiments Part Two) and the newest set (Two Step Floral Sprig) in my WMS collection. This is such a fun challenge, I love how the sets go so well together.
Wow, what fun it has been to participate in this PJ Party. I really enjoyed the challenges, and get to play with the new stamp sets together with the older sets. I can't wait to see what all of you create!
Thanks for visiting me.

Love all your cards Kary - they're real stunners !!!
Beautiful creations Kary! love the papers you used on these - and the lovely knot in the fiber ribbon!
Fabulous cards, Kary!
I agree with Julia...I love that fiber knot...
such a perfect accent!
And then how you "layered" your stamps sets from "oldest" to "newest"...
love it! :)
All beautiful, all so unique. Great depth, and definitely masculine (the 1st). Love the playful look on the second. You nailed the color challenge!
Fabulous cards Kary - love the nautical themes and the way you have used the different stamps so very well together.
Blessings

Wonderful cards, Kary! I love your use of the labels, and your colours are very nautical!
Wow, Kary, all of these cards are so awesome! The nautical ones really are perfect masculine cards. Have a great weekend. :)
All your cards deserve a perfect 10 score. They are beautifully created.
Beautiful creations, Kary! Your first card is lovely with the strips of striped paper is a great combination. And the whale/sea patterned paper on your second card looks fabulous especially with your wave punched border.
Doesn't your Very Labels 1 make a great border for your ship image for your third card, and the twine through the anchor is a great touch.
And last, but not least, I like the way you inked around your sentiment to help it stand out from the label that you mounted on. GREAT job on all of these amazing cards!
Gorgeous cards Kary! I love the papers you chose for all your cards, that whale one is adorable! Love the twine knot ! Beautiful!
I love seeing all your beautiful cards Kary - looks like you've already got your money's worth with the nautical set...they all look wonderful.
