Just a short post today, to share a Birthday card. I wanted to ink up my new Flourishes set Botanical Bookplates I and play along with Flourishes' Timeless Tuesdays. This week, it's a bingo challenge.
I decided to go with the far right blocks - Bling, Die Cut and Emboss. And, here's my card:
The cardbase was die cut from a Doily Rectangle (Quickutz). I did the letterpress technique with an Embossing folder (Spellbinders M-bossabilities Mystic) just behind the flower image. The flowers were coloured with Copic Markers - Leaves (YG11, YG13, YG17, YG61 & YG93), Flowers - RV10, RV34, R0000 and Background (G000 & BG0000). The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock and adhered onto a ticket diecut (Whimsy Stamps ticket die).
Thanks for stopping by ;)

Beautiful as always, Kary! Your faux-letterpress background looks great against the beautifully coloured flowers.
Wow, this is just gorgeous. I admire the different borders. If I tried to do that it would look like a mess, but your card is the epitome of class, style and beauty.
The lavender colour theme is so pretty. Great job with the different borders.
Love the colours you used! And really loving that Quickutz die!!! Everything goes so well together! How did you make the card base?
Oh Kary what an elegant and 'rich' card this is - can't think of any other word than rich, but it is not quite what I want.... Just love it and all the details.
Blessings
