I'm joining the Waltzing Mouse Blog Party today! The theme for today's party is "Sweet Things". When I saw this, all I could think of was a Tea Party... I wonder why. So, here's an invitation to a Tea Party... I'm not sure when it will eventuate, but wouldn't that be so fun?
I had a little struggle trying to get the colours right, to match the background that I had already stamped with the Chevron stamp from
Off Beat Backgrounds set. Somedays I start a card with no planning ;( - I won't ever recommend doing so {lol}. The sentiment and the teacup are from
Afternoon Tea Sentiments set, and papers from Echo Park. The card shape is cut with Tim Holtz's Vintage Cabinet Card die.
Be sure to check out the
Waltzing Mouse blog for all the participants today.
Enjoy the Party!!

Such a sweet card! I've never seen that TH die! Love the shape. Perfect job choosing the colors and patterns too:). TFS!
When I grow up, I want to color like KARY! Oh this is just such a charming invitation. I DO hope you get to use it one day! LOVE the fun shapes combined like that, and the lovely soft colors and fun patterns are so sweet for a tea party. Your tea cup looks like a photo of the real thing ;)!
PS...I just emailed someone yesterday about how I color an image and then am foiled in finding paper to match...and how I never truly "plan" a card until I get going. I guess it's just more fun that way :)!
Serendipity! In the end it all came out lovely, truly! And I would come to your tea party any day. TFS! (I love the way you coloured the tea cup to get that highlight happening.)
Love your SWEET card! The colors and patterns are so pretty but your teacup is definitely the star--your coloring is just gorgeous!
