Find the Joy
Hello Friends! Today, I'm sharing a Christmas card. I've had this Itty Bitty stamp for a year now, and finally I'm able to use it. Just a little colouring with Copics and some layering of patterned papers, the card is ready. The Itty Bitty stamp I used is "Find the Joy" and the patterned papers are all from Lily Bee's Jingle 6x6 pad. I'm keeping this a really short post, as it's getting really late here. I'm so looking forward to visit Unity's blog to check out what my fellow Friends with Flair have created.
Till then, Goodnight!

Thank You
Hi! It's time for Inspired Stamps inspiration, and this week's theme is "Thankful". It's an easy theme because there's just so many things in life to be thankful for. I made a Thank You card, with Sunflowers - I LOVE sunflowers, they are so bright and cheerful, and they always bring a smile to my face.
These gorgeous sunflowers are from the Inspired Stamps "Flowers" mini set (3x4"). I stamped the sunflowers three times on white cardstock and coloured them with Copic Markers ( Y06 & Y15 - petals, Y21 & Y26 & Atyou spica clear - flower centre). The flower centres were popped up with pop dots. The 'Thank You' sentiment is from the versatile sentiments set "Perfect Sentiments" and on the inside, I used the sentiment from "Fall Gratitude" set.
Here's a closer look at the sunflowers:

Take care,

Cupcake Girl
Not long ago, I found Belles 'n Whistles stamps, and I absolutely adore these sweet images. I thought it would be fun to practise colouring them using Copic markers. Here's my first try. Not sure if I did ok, but it was so fun and relaxing to colour her.
Here's a closer look :
Here's the stamp set:
I've been colouring with copics for about a year, learning bits and pieces from youtube videos and books. I just love stamping and colouring even though I can't draw nor paint. So, I'm still trying to improve and also slowly expand my collection of Copic markers. For the first time, I'm gathering courage to join a copics challenge at Copics Creations. I look forward to your comments on areas which I still need to work on and improve.
Thanks!

Happy Birthday!
I've sat at my desk the last few days and not being able to create something I was happy with. Lost my mojo, I think. When faced with days like these, I go back to what I love most, i.e. colouring - doesn't matter if the light/shadows aren't right, just keep colouring. I used one of my favourite MFT stamp PI Sunshiny Day, it makes me smile. The papers are from Studio Calico's Autumn Press - I love the colours of that collection.
A closer look at the card:
This little guy really looks like he's having massive fun being in the sun! I added some glitter to the hearts on his shirt with Atyou Spica Clear pen, and also embossed the pattened papers with linen texture embossing plate. This card was created with help from the MFT Card sketch found here.
What are you creating today? I'd love to see it - just drop me a line, and I'll come visit.
Have a happy day!!

Daisy Doodles Challenge #44
This week's new Daisy Doodles Challenge theme is centred on Columbus Day/Sail Away - think boat, shore, relaxing, etc. Here's my card:
I used the Daisy Doodles image from Summer Fun, i.e. the Umbrella & surfboards. The patterned paper is from Webster's Pages Yacht Club 6x6 pad and the sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz set "Just Thoughts". It's a good time to pause and reflect on life when you're at the beach, isn't it?
Please visit the Daisy Doodles challenge blog for more inspiration and information on this week's challenge. I hope you join us, and I can't wait to see what you create.
Take care,

WMS Sketch Challenge #68
Hello, I hope your weekend is going great! I haven't done much and it's Sunday already. But, I have a card to share today, using Waltzing Mouse's new set "A Cottage Home". I love that this stamp set has several cool stamps aside from the main cottage, perfect for creating a scene on your card or project. Take a look at the set below.
This card took a bit of time to colour but it was really worth the effort, I think (if you are interested, I've listed the Copic Markers I used at the bottom of this post). So many awesome details on the stamps! Here's some close up photos of the card...
and, here's the sketch the card was based on :
I hope you like the card ;) I'll be looking forward to read what you think.
Have an Amazing day!

Unity Friends with Flair (7 October)
Hello Friends! Aren't you glad it's finally Friday, I know I am. Today I have an Emboss Resist technique card to share. First, stamp the cute birdhouse image from Unity KOM (July 2011) with Versamark on a white cardstock, and heat emboss with detail white embossing powder. Then sponge several Distress Inks to make the image pop. Then, stamp the sentiment on the right hand side of the image. Draw a frame around the stamped image as well as on the cardbase - I love doing this as it's quick and no matting required for the stamped image and patterned paper. Add trim and tie a bow, add a tiny flower, and the card is done. This card took just 15 minutes to make!
