Unity Tuesday Hop {13 Oct 2015}

Hello!  It's been awhile since my last post.  I took a trip to visit my parents.  Though it's sad to see them age a little more than the last time but I am so very grateful to be able to spend time with them.  

While I was away, there's lots of new Unity goodies released.  I absolutely love the new KOTM - I say that every time but it's true.  Please, please check it out.

See the flower in the centre?  I think it's my favourite image in the KOTM.

I created this card using watercolour paper and the flowers are coloured with Zig Clean Color pens - No. 021 Light Carmine and No. 043 Olive Green.  It's so easy to achieve a good result just with the Zig pens and a waterbrush.

Next is a little Christmas card using the fun set "Little North Pole".  I always buy too many Christmas papers and end up not having enough time to make the cards.  This is a fast and easy card as the patterned paper scene was perfect with the stamped images.

I also used the die from We Go Together for the coffee cup and sequins from Old Gold Shaker Mix.

Unity {Be Inspired} Challenge Hop {18 August 2015}

WMS - Kaboom! More than Coffee!!

Hello!  Today I have another Waltzing Mouse Stamps project to share.  This project uses the recent release We Go Together and dies We go Together, Kaboom, Snowflake One and Stitched Tags.

Quite a number of dies, right?  I love mixing dies with stamps a lot on my cards, and my friends think I'm mad for having hundreds of dies.  I guess this card justifies the dies purchase, yes?

Unity Tuesday Hop {11 August 2015}

Hello Friends!  We are shaking things up today in the Unity team hop - so glad you are here!  It's going to be so very exciting with Awesome releases and a release chat.  It's a bummer that the chart starts at the same time I start work - it's now Wednesday morning over here in Australia.  I'm sure you ladies will have a great time and I'll catch up with the chats during my lunch hour :)

Here's my cards using the new set Loving Today!  I think this is my favourite set of the  release.  It's a great set to use with the Misti tool so that the sentiments fit in the frames perfectly.  I love that it is rustic with a great set of sentiments.

 

 

My next project uses the new Susan Weckesser's new set - with this set you can create a scene using the flowers, stems, leaves, etc.  Love it!

WMS - Shaker Card

Today I have another Waltzing Mouse Stamps project to share.  It's always fun to receive a shaker card, though I must admit there's so much fun making them too.

Lately I have been playing with foil and my new minc machine, as a result I am addicted to adding foil on every card I make :) LOL!  I discovered that when you heat emboss sentiments and do not reduce the heat on the Minc machine when adding foil, the embossing powder melts and spreads out. But, if you ink up your stamp once more with Stazon ink or any alcohol based ink and stamp above the foil sentiment, you get a pretty cool efffect.

The sentiment is from the set Your Sparkle and I think it goes so well with the shaker card - for the shaker fill, I used the Peaches and Dream Shaker Mix.  I used the die set Funky Flowsrs to cut the felt flowers and assembled them with a brad.
