Love You Tons

Hi, I'm back joining the Unity fans today for Unity Friends with Flair.  Got home from work today and found a little Unity package waiting for me.  What a lovely surprise after a long week of work.

It was quick stamping and colouring for this card : I stamped the background stamp {crunch time} on white cardstock and coloured the leaves with Copic Markers (YG61, YG63, YG67, YG91, YG93, YG03).  The cute elephant is from the Itty Bitty set Love You Tons, and coloured with C00, C1, C3, and R37, R35, R32 for the hearts.

Please check the Unity Blog for all the fabulous inspiration from Unity friends, hop along with us and you could win some Unity stamps.

Have a great weekend!

For A Boy

I made it!  ...to my favourite Blog Party.  It's late at night and the lighting isn't the best, but here's my card.

It's the little boy stamp set Half Pint Heroes Additions, which I absolutely adore.  The boy image was coloured with Copic Markers (B91, B93, B95, B97, R32, R35, R37, E30, E31, E33, E35, E50, E01, E13, R21, BG0000).

I can't wait to see what everyone has created.  Come along for the "Love themed" hop which starts at the Waltzing Mouse Makes Blog.

Have fun!

Inspired Stamps - Love

Hello Friends! It's another Thursday project with Inspired Stamps.  This week, we are all making a set of cards with the theme "Love".  I made a set of 4 cards, using the 1" circle stamp from the Stamp Set Lovely Lace.

For the first focal image, I stamped directly onto white cardstock using a pink grapefruit ink, and for the second image, I stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Then the image was punched out with a scalloped circle punch and sponged over with blue ink.

Here are the cards:

Sunflower Girl

Hello!  It feels so good to be back to stamping and colouring :) and to join my friends at Unity Friends with Flair.  Here's a little card to cheer your day:

I used the set Face the Sunshine by Phyllis Harris, and coloured her with Copic Markers.  Don't you just love the sunflowers?

I'm finally settling down in my own place, and using every bit of time I can find to set up the craft room.  So far it's only got a desk and a shelf, well, it's a start, isn't it?

Wishing you all a Happy Weekend, and I can't wait to see what I've been missing for so long - join me by clicking over to the Unity blog.

Take care!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!  Here's wishing 2013 will be a fabulous year for all of us, in every way.  Today, I have a card to share from Inspired Stamps.  I felt it was rather appropriate to start the year with Proverbs 3:5, a verse to remind us to trust God for everything.

The Scripture verse is from the $3.99 set Proverbs 3:5.  I stamped the verse on white cardstock and diecut it, and added some piercing all around the edges.  This piece was adhered with foam adhesive to two layers of diecuts.  The finished card measures 5" x 5".

I hope you like the card.  Please hop over to Inspired Stamps blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team ladies.

Have a great day!

Inspired Stamps - A Christmas Tutorial

Hello Friends!  Welcome to the 12 weeks of Christmas Tutorials with Inspired Stamps.  Today is my turn to share a project with you.

I am always looking for box ideas - I love constructing boxes and decorating them.  A few weeks back, I bought some cupcakes and I thought the box was really nice.  So, I made a smaller version of it using standard sized cardstock.  I think the box will hold some chocolates or a small gift.

From an 8.5 x 11" kraft cardstock, I scored and cut the box in the dimensions as shown in the photo below.  Then I folded the box and cut off the corners as shown.  On the 0.5" edges I added a strip of scor-tape to hold it down.  This forms the base of the box.

The cover of the box is like a matchbox cover, which slides into the box base. Cut the 8.5x11" kraft cardstock down to 5"x11" and score as per the photo below.  On the shorter end, add scor-tape to hold the box together.

The next photo shows how the box opens, slide the cover off the box base.

To decorate the box, stamp Winter Ruth on the scrap piece of kraft cardstock and colour her with Copic Markers.  Fussy cut Ruth and adhere her with foam adhesive squares onto the patterned paper (City Sidewalks by Pink Paislee) which was cut using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangle die, adhered to a piece of red cardstock.  Tie a gingham ribbon around the box before adhering the patterned paper piece onto the box. Decorate the box with a silk flower and some blings.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

Here are more photos of the box:

I hope you like the box, and give it a try.

Thank you for visiting me, have a great day!
