Perk Up!

 I'm in need of a little Perk Up this week.  But, happy that the weekend is almost starting...and it's a long weekend :)  Happy too that I get to play with my Unity friends today in the hop.

Here's my card - I was thinking of a friend when I made this card.  She loves coffee and has such a wonderful way of blessing others.  I hope she will enjoy the card.

I used the sweet stamp set by Angie Blom, Kimmie Girl.  She is coloured with Copics (my fave Blue jeans combo - B91, B93, B95, B97. Heart - R43, R46. Top - R00, R01, R02.  Skin - E50, E01, E13. Hair - E99, E95, Y32. Cup - R43, BG15, BG10. Ground - E37, E13, E01. Background - Y32, YR0000).

Inspired Stamps Summer Card & Storewide Sale

Hello Summer!  Well, not quite downunder, but we can all cheer ourselves up with a Summery card.  Today, I've chosen to use just the Inspired Stamps 2x2 Scripture James 1:17 on my card.

My card measures 4x4" and the focus is on the Scripture which I die-cut out and inked the edges with Distress Ink Worn Lipstick.  The beautiful patterned paper is from Bazzill 6x6 Vintage Lace pad.

By the way, now is a GREAT time to shop at Inspired Stamps because the Storewide Sale is still on until 30th May.  Check it out!

Unity Thursday 22-05-2014

I am really loving the May KOM Hey Girl!  This week I can't wait to share another card using the girl with the balloons.  I really had so much fun putting this card together.

I used a lot of Copics to colour all the images (Skin E50, E01, E13 ; Hair E99, E18, E01; Bow & Sash YR04, YR18; Dress & Shoes B12, B14, B16)   I added a little shading to her dress for some interest and I kinda like how it turned out.


Here's a card to hopefully brighten your day - how cute is this little chick!

And, finally, here's one of the New Releases for this week's FB celebration - Love, Love it!!

Unity FWF 16-05-14

Happy Friday!!  This whole week, I have been asking my colleagues "Is it Friday yet?".  LOL I guess it must be that I can't wait for the weekend to play with my stamps :)

Today I'm sharing some cards I made recently. 

I made this card for my sister's birthday earlier this month.  Hope she liked it :)  I used the sets Whitney Girl and Stamp of the Week, Courage.

Next is a card which I  had all the elements ready but just managed to assemble it a few nights ago.  I am loving all the new Stamp of the Week - they are just gorgeous! This one is A Floral Hello.

Finally this is the card I made for the new release Kenya this week.  It's a beautiful image, and I wasn't sure I got the skin colour right, but I enjoyed putting the card together.

Inspired Stamps May Release

Welcome to the Inspired Stamps May Release!  There are more Hymn Girls and some really lovely Scripture sentiments to choose from.

Today, I'm showcasing the Hymn Girls : Armor of God and Scripture sentiment Ephesians 6:10.

The image is coloured with Copic Markers (B24, B23, B21, C5, N3, N0, E13, E01, E50, E18, E11, E00).  I also used the paper from Bazzill 6x6 pad Worldwide - absolutely LOVE this paper pad.

Unity Thursday Hop

Hello Unity Peeps!  I'm so glad to join the girls in the hop this week.  Have you seen ALL the new May releases - KOM, SMAK, SOTW and more...?  Wow, I'm having trouble finding time to play with all the new goodies.

Here's the first card using Phyllis Harris' new set I Will Never Leave You:

I love stamps like these on my cards because there's no need for any embellishments.  The image says it all.

Next, is a card with the Amazing new KOM Hey Girl - I LOVE this set!!

Those dresses are so pretty, aren't they?

I have a Birthday card to share today using the latest Inspired Stamps Sketchy alphabet and the gorgeous Hymn Girls : January.

This card is really simple to put together.  I stamped the Hymn Girl and coloured her by sponging some Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Tumbled Glass).  Then I stamped the word happy using the alphabet stamp and fussy cut both the girl and word images and adhered them to the pretty patterned paper from Bazzill Vintage Marketplace. The Birthday sentiment from the set Perfect Sentiments was stamped on the patterned paper.

Unity FWF 02-05-14

How was your week?  Hope it was a good one.  I got back to work after 2.5 weeks off and it was straight into long hours of work - it's been a hectic week, and I'm so very glad Friday is finally here.  When I was away, I missed some exciting Unity release.  One of my favourites is Shari Girl.

Love this new Angie girl and her cute little dog.  I love her outfit and had so much fun bringing her to life.

Have you seen the new Phyllis Harris release this week? They are Amazing, and here's one of the sets - Sense of Wonder.

Wow, Unity is 6 years old this week and  Angela has put together an Awesome Birthday Bash sale, check it out!

 

Finally, some of you know that my dad was seriously ill the week before Easter with pneumonia.  I had to fly back as the doctors weren't sure he would recover.  So many prayers were offered up for him, and it was an answered prayer that he responded to the antibiotics and made a remarkable recovery. I am so thankful that I got to spend time with him and cared for him.  It was so hard to leave but this girl has to get back to work :)

Congratulations card

Hello Friends!  Today's Inspired Stamps project is a Congratulations card using the latest Hymn:Church and Houses set, together with the Label Maker Alphabet and Inspired Shapes sets.

I love the cute house with hearts and coloured the image with Copic markers.
