Faith Tag

Today I was inspired by Laurie over at Papertrey Ink to create a tag using a Cover plate and a Tag die.  I have been hoarding lots of Papertrey Ink products because they are so pretty - always not having time to play with them.  Finally... a chance to use some of the supplies for the first time!

I used the In The Woods Cover Plate die, Faith die and Tag Sale #3 to create this tag.  The sentiment is from the Faith Mini Stamp Set.

A pretty simple tag.  I die cut the Faith die twice, once on patterned paper and another on a piece of foam just to give it a bit of dimension.

This was so fun!  Feeling Happy...

See you!

Unity Hop {25 Aug 2016}

Hello Friends!  Time really flies and we're already at the end of August.  So glad you stopped by!

How many colouring mediums do you keep in your stash?  I can't help myself when it comes to trying out different mediums.  I am really into colour pencils recently and here is the card using Prismacolors and the beautiful stamp set Steps Of Courage.

A few of you have asked if I can share some videos on how I colour using Copic Markers.  I will try to get started with the videos - it will take some time but once I get going I will share them on my blog :).  Thank you for all your wonderful messages.

Here is a card with the latest release Spirit of a Mermaid by Susan K. Weckesser with Copic Markers.

Enjoy the hop!

A Watercolour Card

Although I am a massive Copics fan, there are times I wish I can do a reasonable job with Watercolours.  Here is one I made recently using the WPlus9 stamp Beautiful Bouquet : Ranunculus - love this stamp set.

I heat embossed the image on watercolour paper (recently bought this from Ellen Hutson and I had good results with it) with detailed white embossing powder, then used my Zig clean color markers to colour the image.  I must admit I am quite addicted to how well these Zig markers work - I splurged and bought not just the pack of 60 but some loose additional markers as well.  The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black - my fave black inkpad.  Keeping the card simple, I embellished it with some twine.

I think I'll have to practice more with watercolours in the near future.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
