Rejoice Always

Today's Inspired Stamps project is a Scripture card.  Did you know that Inspired Stamps have a huge selection of 2x2 Scripture stamps - they are such good value at just $3.99 each.

The 2x2 single Scripture stamp I used on my card is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.  The Scripture sentiments are so easy to work with and they can be the focal point on cards.

Lately I have been playing with the shimmer sprays and making my own background paper.  The photo doesn't show up well the embossed frame on the background paper and the embossed edges of the Scripture sentiment piece.

Only a week away before the November release day...  there's some lovely new sets out next week! Hope you'll be back to visit us on November 5th.

Have a great day!

Unity Thursday Hop {22-10-2014}

Time to hop with Unity!!  This week, there's some Awesome new releases just in time for Christmas and the holidays.  If you are thinking of making Christmas cards, you gotta go shopping :)

This has got to be one of my fave Angie girl set - Christine.  Love her outfit and the beautiful sentiment.  She is coloured with Copics (R39, R37, R35, R32, E13, E01, E50, E99, E15, E13) and I added some fine glitter on the white bits of her outfit, hat and boots.

Next is this cute little deer...

Check out all the Reindeer stamps at the Unity store!

That's all from me, hope you'll enjoy the hop!

Take care!

Scripture Tag

Hello, today I have a simple tag project to share using Inspired Stamps Scripture set John 10:17-18 and Laying Sheep.

The Scripture is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  When cool I added some Distress stains on the tag and spritzed some shimmer sprays on it.  The little lamb was stamped on white cardstock and cut out and adhered to the tag with some pop dots.  For some interest, I added a couple of bells at the ends to the twine.

Thank you for visiting me.  Have a great day!

Unity Thursday Hop {16-10-2014}

It's my favourite day of the week! I'm positive you will love the Awesome Phyllis Harris Unity releasing today and I can't wait to share them with you.

How about some non-traditional Christmas colours?  Always partial to orange and blue colour combo, and thought it would be nice to try that on a Christmas card.

Look forward to hear what you think... :)

Next is a more traditional Christmas card.

Love how serene this little girl looks.  It has been so hot this week, and I'm half wishing for some winter weather ;)

That's it from me, and I'm sure you can't wait to finish the hop and shop!

Thank you for visiting me.

WMS Pajama Party - Oct 2014

Hello!  Today I have a WMS card to share, and playing along with the WMS Pajama Party.  Love the new stamps and I received them just in time yesterday.

I didn't have much time to make all the cards I had hoped to but it's ok.  I really LOVE the new snowflake dies and in some ways my card works for two of the challenges - Texturise it and Snow is Falling.

I used the snowflake dies to emboss the blue cardstock and stamped the snowflakes with Memento Luxe, Wedding Dress - I am really loving this inkpad, see how white the ink is.

I've been wanting to use this older set for a long while on a one layer card.  So, here it is:

To add a little interest, I used the coordinating die and embossed the top edges of the mountain scene.  Here's the close up...

That's all I managed to make this time.  Looking forward to see everyone's amazing projects.

Thank you for visiting me.

12 Weeks of Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are following the Inspired Stamps 12 Weeks of Christmas Cards!  This week, I'm having some fun with Stencils.  Stencils are so hot right now - though I'm not into mixed media, I can't help but have some fun with them.

There are so many fun ways you can use a stencil.  The easiest method I think is using Spritz with the stencil.  Here I've used a chevron stencil and spritzed some gold and clear shimmer sprays.  It's not perfectly even and there's some splatters of ink but it's ok.

Next, I played with Embossing paste.  Place a stencil over the cardstock.

Spread a thin layer of Embossing paste over the stencil. I also spritzed some shimmer sprays over the Embossing paste.  Then lift the stencil from the cardstock.

Here's the end result.  Let it dry for about an hour before using.

And here are the cards using the above stencil techniques:

The stamps I used are HLO Angel and the Scripture sentiment Luke 2:13-14, and you can see the chevron stencil piece behind the stamp images.

For this card, I used the Scripture sentiment Luke 2:11 with the Embossing paste piece in the background.

I hope you'll try these techniques with stencils and have a great weekend!

Thank you for visiting me.

Unity Thursday Hop {9-10-2014}

Hello Unity Peeps!  So glad it's Thursday, and really excited to share the new releases with you.  I am SO in LOVE with the new sets and can't wait to find time to play with them more.

This little cutie snowman really stole my heart! He's super, super cute!!  I thought he would look amazing in bright orange.  Not sure if it was the lighting but the photo looked as though I added some glossy accents on his hat, but honestly it's just plain Copics.  A fluke, perhaps :)

Couldn't resist this other cute image

Lastly, I also pulled out my Derwent Inktense colour pencils to create this little card...

I used a combination of the September KOTM for the background (heat white embossing) and the new Vintage Era Background Kit

We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Saturday night on the Unity blog.

Thank you for visiting me.

Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Are you loving the new Inspired Stamps release?  Today, I'm sharing another cute Hymn Girls: Sentimental Sign in our Fall Themed Thinking of You card.

She is a larger sized stamp and I love that you can add your own sentiment onto the sign she is holding.  I used the Thinking of You sentiment from the Hymn Girls:Sitting Here Thinking, but there are so many choices of Scripture sentiment which would fit as well.  If you have a bench die-cut I think it would work very nicely with this Hymn Girl as well.

I couldn't help making another card to share.  This one was created using the Hymn Girls:October and the sentiment from Thinking of You set.

I hope you'll visit again tomorrow for my 12 Weeks of Christmas special project.

Have a great day!

Inspired Stamps October Release

So very excited to share this new October release from Inspired Stamps!! I'm so very glad I get to share this beautiful new set Hymn Girls : Sitting Here Thinking.

There are a few ways you can use the sentiment that comes along with this set, it's like a sentiment set for the outside and inside of the card.  This Hymn Girl is my favourite from the series and I just love how she easily brightens up the card.

All the new releases are on the webstore, and while you are there, check out the new Bo Bunny paper pads too!

Please visit the Inspired Stamps Blog to see more peeks of the new releases!

Thank you for visiting me.
