Real Strength

Summer is almost coming to an end where I am.  I am going to miss the long sunny days even though sometimes it's just too hot.  Well, I'll just have to think Spring and perhaps it will come around soon enough..LOL!

Here's a card made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #115, in Cheerful Spring Palette.
I used the stamp sets Coffee Cup and Ribbons & Swags Vintage Labels Seven for this card.  The coffee cup is coloured with Copic Markers.  I love the colours of the patterned paper from BasicGrey Fresh Cut, and I die-cut a piece of vellum and adhere it above the patterned paper so that it does not compete with the sentiment and stamped image.

I hope you have a great day, wherever you are!

I Can Do All Things

I love this Scripture verse from Philippians 4:13.  It was one of my favourite Scripture memory verses during my school days, and I've never forgotten it.  Our Inspired Stamps assignment this week is Tag and Stamps.
I started with a tag, and stamped the Inspired Shapes on it in green and red ink (the hash sign and the heart)  Then I stamped the Scripture sentiment in black, and stamped the word Christ on white cardstock and cut it out and adhered it with pop dot on the tag.  The edges of the tag was distressed with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

You Are In My Thoughts

Hello Unity Peeps!  How has your week been?  I hope everything is well with you.  I'm forever looking forward to Friday and trying not to miss a Unity post.

Today I'm sharing a favourite stamp set by dear Lisa Arana called Bunches of {Love}.  This set has some of the loveliest sentiments and a gorgeous floral image.

Patterned papers : Doodlebug, Cardstock: Bazzill, Neenah solar white, Copic markers, Kaisercraft pearls

I coloured the flowers and leaves with Copic Markers (R01, R05, R08, Y18, Y15, BV17, BV02, YG25, YG23, YG21).

I'm going to spend all Saturday making cards and catching up on some tv series I've missed.  It feels like ages since I've had time to myself.  The past few weeks, I've been going out a lot with friends, not that I didn't have fun, but nothing beats a quiet weekend with stamps :)

Hope your weekend will be amazing!

Scripture and Flowers

It's Thursday with Inspired Stamps once again.  This week, we are focusing on Scripture and Flowers.  I used the Scripture from Ask, Seek, Knock set and the flower stamp from Butterflies and Blooms set.

This card measures 4x4", and I stacked several square die cuts for the card.  The flowers are coloured with Copic markers (RV23, RV25, RV29, YG21, YG25).  It's a card that can be made in 10 minutes.

Please visit the Inspired Stamps Blog for more ideas from the Design Team today.  An exciting announcement, for those of you who love Art Journaling, Antoinette will be sharing Art Journaling your Bible Study throughout March - see the details here.

Thank you for visiting me, and I would love to hear what you think of the card.

Have a great day!

I Knew I Loved You

What a week it has been, I'm tired... but so glad that it's Friday. I look forward every week to join my friends in Unity FWF.  Today, I came home from work, and didn't have a card.  I had only 30 mins before dinner and rushed to make this card, so I could post it. :)

Patterned paper from Glitz Design - Carpe Diem, Spellbinders dies, twine from Lawn Fawn
Isn't this tiny dancer the cutest girl - she's from the PH set Before I met you Tiny Dancer.  I wanted to keep the card in soft shades of blue and pink.  You may not see it from the photo, but there's a touch of glitter on her skirt.

I hope you'll have a wonderful Valentine's Day, and if you can spare some time, come join us in the Unity FWF.  I'd love to see what you create.

Thank you for visiting me.

Have a Great Day

Hi, hope you had a great weekend.  I only managed to make two cards over the weekend. Trying to break out all my new stamps:)  Love the Hello Daisy image, and I coloured the daisy image in several different colours but decided I like white most.

After colouring, I cut out the daisy, and then ran out of ideas how to assemble the card!  Do you ever have days like this?  After staring at the supplies, I finally decided on this design.  The card looked a little plain so I added a string of pearls around the patterned paper.  The photo isn't the best, as the shading on the flower is not clear, but I couldn't get a shot that matches the card in real life. :)

This card was made for the JustRite Challenge #114 Botanical Bliss.

Have a great week!

This is the Day...

I'm in need of this sweet reminder from Psalm 118:24 - that today, is the day the Lord has made, and I ought to make a conscious effort to rejoice and be glad in it.  This week, we are showcasing both January and February Release stamps on a project.  I use the new Inspired Stamps Scripture sentiment Psalm 118:24 with the cute new Scripture-Holder girl with Curls.

Keeping this post really short, so that you can click over to the Inspired Stamps Blog to view all the projects the Design Team is sharing today.

Your Love Blows Me Away

Hello Friends!  So glad it's Friday again, because it's time for sharing a Unity card with Unity Friends with Flair.  My new Phyllis Harris stamps arrived last week, and I cannot wait to use them.  I love this sweet image from the set "Your Love Blows Me Away" and it makes a lovely birthday or Valentine's card.

I couldn't find a place to stamp the sentiment as it is a little too large, so I just stamped it on the side to blend in with the patterned paper.  The girl's dress is paper pieced, and the rest of the images are coloured with Copic Markers.  To add a little border, I added some running stitches along the edge of the patterned paper.

I can't wait to see what you create.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Inspired Stamps February 2014 Release

Welcome to the Inspired Stamps February Sneak peek!  There are 4 new stamp sets, and today, I'm focusing on the Value Pack Flowers set.  This is an updated set of the popular floral images.

The flower was coloured with Copic Markers - Petals (R32, R35, R46, R56, R59), Leaves & stem (YG23, YG61, YG63, YG67, YG97) and Flower centre (R01, R02, R05).

I added some stitching at the corners as I thought the card was a little too plain :)

Step into the Garden

How did the weekend go so fast?  It seems there's never enough time when one is having fun.  There's still so many items on my list to do!

I'm glad for finishing this card though.  It's my attempt playing along with the JustRite Challenge #113 this week.  I don't usually think about creating background papers, and I don't have any fab methods to share, just some mad colouring perhaps (it felt that way to me, it's hard colouring the same images all at once!).  But it's what I usually do after work, colouring is therapeutic.  But, as you can tell, it's really a challenge for me to keep to some uniformity with the flowers.

I used the stamp set Poppies Labels Twenty Nine, and selected the smaller poppies image to create the background.  The poppies were coloured with Copic markers (R39, R37, R35, R24, R32, YG97, YG93, YG01).  The edges of the cardstock was distressed with Distress Ink Scattered Straw.  I completely forgot I had Labels 29 (grin!), and used various oval dies for the sentiment.  The bottom layer was a vellum die-cut.

Hope your weekend is going great!
