True Friends

I'm glad it's Friday!!  It has been a cold, wet week here.  I'm sorry I didn't manage to visit all your blogs last week - it was a busy weekend.  Thank you for the well wishes - the new job is going well, lots to learn and quite a challenge. I'm also required to take certification exams. The exam bit isn't fun, but it's what I have been wanting to do, so I can't complain :) It's a good thing.

I hope your week has been good!  I made this card with two dear friends in mind... some of you know Julie lost her dog, Molly, and my friend, Christine also lost her dog, Sophie, around the same time.  I've never owned a pet, but I can imagine the love and joy the dogs have brought into their lives.  I feel their pain and loss.  Perhaps, this card describes the bond between a much loved pet and its owner.

Stamp set : Unity Phyllis Harris "Listen from the Heart"
PH-1074A-LISTEN-FROM-THE-HEART
The Copic markers I used are:

Horse - E51, E53, E55, E57
Girl Skin - E50, E01, E13, R20
Girl Hair - E21, E13, E15, E99
Grass - YG61, YG63, YG67, R20
Dress - C1, C3
Heart - R32, R35, R37, R39

Christine penned this beautiful poem in memory of her dog, Sophie, which really touched my heart. Christine has kindly allowed me to share, and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Thanks for visiting me.

Have a great weekend!

What a beautiful, loving card Kary - love the way you have coloured and assembled it. The poem is beautiful too. It is hard to part with a pet :-(.
Glad to hear your first week went well.
Blessings

Wow... nice card and gesture from your side. I can relate. I never had a dog before and I was afraid of them. I decided to learn about dogs and made a change and I've had my dog son for 6 years. I can't even imagine in my mind when he's gone. I love him soooo much. It can't be described. And I tell people all the time that no human being should pass life without having the experience of being loved by a dog.

Kary, you will never know how much this means to me that you thought of me and my beautiful Molly when you made this card! This has been a trying few weeks. I'm sitting in the emergency room again right now with my father. This time he has last has balance and gotten a big gash in his arm that will require stitches. It seems to go on and on, this burden of care giving. And, I know you can understand that!

I hope your new job is going well. Thanks again for your incredible thoughtfulness. Your coloring is flawless!
