Easter Card Set

Hello again!  I can't believe, we're almost into March already.  It's time to think about Easter cards, isn't it?  It's so easy create these with Inspired Stamps.

I used a combination of 2 stamp sets to create these 4x4 card set - Perfect Sentiments  and the flower image from Comfort.  The sentiment and image were stamped on a diecut patterned paper.  A quick and easy set to create.

Have a wonderful day!

Whatever is True...

This week's Inspired Stamps project has a focus on Scripture.  I made a really simple card with just the Scripture verse.  Sometimes when life isn't going too well, it's good to focus on the Word of God and absorb the truth, and be encouraged.

The Scripture sentiment is from the set Guard Your Heart, and I stamped the verse from Philippians on a grid patterned paper.  The bottom section of the card was embossed with a border die.

I pray these words bring you comfort and encouragement.

Have a lovely day.

Dream with Your Heart

I've had this stamp for sometime and I love the image but I think I never got round to inking it because I'm not good with mixed media style.  But, I think the stamp works anyway you want to use it ;)

I inked her skirt with Memento Summer Sky ink and the rest of her with Memento Rich Cocoa.  Then I used Copic markers to give her a bit of colour:

Skin : E50, E01, E13
Top : BV000, BV00, BV02
Large Flower : RV10, RV14, RV17, RV19
Small blossoms : RV10, 0
Background : B0000, BG70

The sentiment was stamped on the same patterned paper in the background, and cut out.  Then I added some washi tapes, a soft floral tape just underneath the sentiment, and the music notes washi for some interest.

That's it for this week.  Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for more inspiration from fellow Unity fans.

Have a lovely weekend!

Thinking about You

For today's Inspired Stamps project, we're sharing artwork based on the theme of "Love".  I guess it's really appropriate with the whole world celebrating Valentine's Day this week.  For me, it's a time to reflect and celebrate friends and family who love us and have always been there for us.

I used the heart from the set "Guard Your Heart" and stamped it on a piece of patterned paper with red ink.  The heart piece was layered on another similar patterned paper and I stamped the 1.5" round sentiment from the set "1.5" Circle Greetings" off on the side.  The bottom section of the circle sentiment was coloured with Copic marker (R01) to match the patterned paper.  The heart was adhered to an embossed cardbase, and I couldn't resist adding some washi tapes and a flourish diecut to finish off the card.

Are you joining us in the 52 Weeks of Gratitude?  Check out the March Gratitude set which is on special - six 2x2 Scripture stamps for just $18.  Antoinette is also releasing some new 2x2 Scripture stamps tomorrow! Make A Wish

Looks like I'm making good progress inking up the Phyllis Harris stamps the past couple of weeks ;)  This is one of my favourites "Wishing We're Forever Friends".  It was a challenging one to colour, but it was worth it - so much fun.  Though I must admit one probably wouldn't find skies like that in real life...{grin}.  Plus, I can't seem to get the photos to look like the card in real life :(

Here are the Copics I used:
Skies : B21, B32, B34, B37, B39
Horizon : R12, V000, BV00, BV04
Moon : Y13, Y17
Dog : E00, E21, E23, E31
Boy's hair : E00, E23, E21, Y17
Skin : E0000, E00, E31
Shirt : V15, BV00
Jeans : B21, B34, B37
Ground : YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99

It's Chinese New Year this weekend, so here's wishing my Chinese friends a Blessed Year filled with happiness and good health.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Give Thanks

Hi!  The weather has been beautiful this week.  Really hot, but... give me bright sunny days anytime and I won't complain.  Hope all is well where you are too.

This week's Inspired Stamps artwork is DT's favourite.  It was a little difficult as I have so many favourite images and verses.  I realised I've never shared this cute stamp set "Abigail Dances".  On the card with Abigail, I selected my favourite verse from the Fall Gratitude set.

I used a lot of Copics colouring Abigail:
Hair : E99, E21, E23, YR23,0
Eyes : YG03, BG10, G00, G0000
Skin : E000, E01, E31, R20
Outfit & shoes : R32, R35, R37, R39, R01, R11, R12, RV91, RV93, RV95

Outline : BG10, BG000

Here's a close shot of Abigail:

True Friends

Hi Friends!  So glad the weekend is here again.  I just want to do nothing except work in my craft room all day... what about you?  Got home from work feeling so tired, but I didn't want to let the day pass without making a card.  Do you ever feel the same?

I have seen so many beautiful cards with this set from Phyllis Harris "Easier with YOU by my side". I love the sentiments in this set and of course the image is just adorable.  So, here's my take:

Lots of Copics were used for this card:
Horse - E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, 0
Girl - Skin E50, E01, E13; Hair Y11, Y26, YR24; Top R81, R83, R85; Shorts B00, B02, B06
Grass - C00, YG00, G20, YG91, YG93, G99, YR0000
Background - BG10, BG0000

Once again, I'm joining my Unity Friends with Flair at the Unity Blog today.  Hope you can join us.  By the way, I'm going to check out the specials at the Unity store too.

Happy Weekend!
