Camellia

Hello again, it's amazing isn't it that I managed to make a few cards this week.  So glad to receive my new Waltzing Mouse stamps in the mail.  Just absolutely love this set - Camellia.

The leaves and flower were coloured with Copic Markers - G40, G43, G46, R00, R43, R46, R56.  The card follows this wonderful sketch (WMSC121) at Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.

A Birthday Card

It's been a lovely Spring weekend.  I found time to be home and work on some Birthday cards for friends... mostly late ;)  Still, better late than never, I suppose.

This little girl, Peggy is a Digital image by Sylvia Zet.  I loved colouring her, and even the sewing machine cooperated on this card.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, "Sayings with Banner" a die & stamp set.
Have a great week!

Make A Wish

It's been a long long while since I last played in challenges.  It's been so busy the last few months.  I kept looking at all the stamps I've bought and wishing I had the energy and time to make something.  On Sunday, I finally made time to do some colouring and make a card!

I just love this sweet set from My Favorite Things - WTG Fairy Dust.  The photo isn't the best, as it's late in the night when I took it with my phone ;)  And I'm missing all my MFT dies which are still in boxes back in KL.  The card was made with this sketch in mind:

The copics colours I used are : Dress & Shoes - RV14, RV17, RV19; Skin - E000, E01, E13; Wings - RV10 (with Spica Clear pen for a touch of glitter);  Wand - Y35; Wall - BG000; Floor - E31, E11, E01.

Hope you're having a lovely day.

Thanks for visiting me.

Inspired Stamps - CAS Christmas Card

Hello Friends!  Welcome to another Inspired Stamps post, this week it's DT choice, and it looks like I'm really into Christmas cardmaking.  It's a CAS card this week and I used the sentiment from Vintage Christmas set, which is one of my favourites.

I die cut the tree on the cardbase, and adhered a green patterned paper behind so the pattern shows through.  Then I used a rectangle die and embossed the cardbase to create a frame around the tree.  I added a little bell on the top of the tree with a ribbon bow, and finish off the card by stamping the sentiment at the bottom left corner.

This is the inside of the card.  I stamped a Scripture sentiment from John 3:16 on another piece of cardstock and scored the edges to mimic the front of the card, and the sentiment is a perfect match as well.

I think this card can be mass produced and the positive diecut of the tree can be saved for use on another card idea.

Hope you like the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Wishing you a fabulous day!

Inspired Stamps - Christmas Card

Hello!  Have you started making any Christmas cards?  If you are thinking about starting, make sure you head over to the Inspired Stamps blog this week.  The Design Team is showcasing Christmas cards, and I'm sure you will be inspired.

I am always thinking of mass producing Christmas cards but every year I never get round to it due to bad planning.  This year, I've been experimenting a little and making a few simple cards which I could mass produce.  Here's one of them:

I created a background with the holly stamp and coloured the berries with a marker pen.  Then I cut a piece of fancy edged red cardstock and white embossed the sentiment.  To finish off the card, I just tied a bow with gingham ribbon.  I was thinking perhaps I could add a little bell to the bow :)

The stamp set I used is Christmas Poinsettia:

Hope you like the idea.  Life has been so hectic and I wish I could have another 12 hours in my day ;) just to be able to sit down and stamp and colour.  Perhaps this weekend...

Have a wonderful day!

Inspired Stamps - Using a Tag

Hello again!  Hope your week has been a happy one.  This week's Inspired Stamps project is to use a tag in a card or project.  My tag is a simple homemade rectangle die-cut and I added some ribbon and a tiny bell to jazz it up a little.

I stamped the leaf from the set Thank You on the green tag.  I added this cute bicycle die-cut on the tag, in green and black colour combo.  I split up the sentiment from the mini set Proverbs 3:5 and stamped it on the top and bottom of the card, and added some white gel pen stitch lines and dots all around the tag image.

Here's another look at the card:
