Unity Friends with Flair (7 October)

Hello Friends! Aren't you glad it's finally Friday, I know I am.  Today I have an Emboss Resist technique card to share.  First, stamp the cute birdhouse image from Unity KOM (July 2011) with Versamark on a white cardstock, and heat emboss with detail white embossing powder.  Then sponge several Distress Inks to make the image pop.  Then, stamp the sentiment on the right hand side of the image.  Draw a frame around the stamped image as well as on the cardbase - I love doing this as it's quick and no matting required for the stamped image and patterned paper.  Add trim and tie a bow, add a tiny flower, and the card is done.  This card took just 15 minutes to make!

And, here's a closer look:

For more inspiration, please visit the Unity blog to see all the wonderful Unity Friends with Flair's creations.

Thank you for visiting, and for taking time to comment.  I can't tell you how awesome it feels to hear from you.

Have a fab weekend!

This is a wonderful technique, Kary. Such great colors and they are all blended so well. It really helps that image just POP out from the page. Great job.

Very pretty card. Like the idea of drawing the frame instead of actually adding one
