Unity Friends with Flair (5 August)

Hello Friends!  It's nice to be back, playing along with Unity FWF this week.

I love this little typewriter stamp.  Not many people have typewriters anymore, but when I was young, we didn't have computers, but my dad had an old typewriter.  I was so fascinated by that little machine and I spent hours learning the keystrokes with the help of my mum's really old typing manual.  That was a worthwhile effort because I can type pretty fast on my keyboard today, with all my fingers ;-)

Here's a closer look at the card:

I've kept the card fairly simple with a little colouring on the stamped image.  I love these new papers by Jillibean Soup, Sweet & Sour Soup.

Please remember to visit the Unity blog to see all the other participants for FWF this week, and comment along for a chance to win some Unity stamps.

Have a great day!

Thanks for the comment on my FWF post. You should definitely dabble in "smashing" because from the looks of this adorable card, you'd create a pretty cool page, I bet! *smile* Have a great day!

Some day kids will say,"You used computers? You had to type? You couldn't just think what you wanted to say and it would print?" Nice job.

Fabulous card Kary - and you and I followed the same path with being self taught on a parents typewriter (it was my Dad's) using a manual!!

LOVE it. I asked my mom for our old portable typewriter to use for journaling in my scrapbooks. Too funny.

Love the retro typewriters and great choice of papers.

What an 'antique'card. I was transported back in time when I first learned how to type "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog". My fingers were often caught in between the letter pads.

Really love this card!!! My dad used to have to type on old typewriters...so I clearly remember them (and used them too). Your card brought back memories today, thanks for the fabulous inspiration!
