Butterflies

Everybody loves butterflies... maybe it's because butterflies are so colourful and so pretty.  I remember going to my cousins' house when I was a little girl - they live on a huge estate, with a football field and a badminton court and lots & lots of fruit trees and orchids.  They had a small butterfly farm as well, and my cousins taught me how to catch butterflies, preserve them and have them framed up.  It was such a lot of fun.

Today's card is somewhat inspired by that memory...

No stamping (again!) and just using the Webster's Pages' beautiful journal card & papers.  The butterflies background was done using an embossing plate.  I inked the plate before embossing the paper.

Here's a closer look at the stacked butterflies.  The die cut butterflies are from Cheery Lynn Designs - same technique, ink the die then emboss and cut.  Don't you think the butterflies are beautiful?

Enjoy your day!

Paper : Webster's Pages WonderFall journal card & 6x6 pad, Kraft cardstock
Ink : Versacolor Pinecone, Versacolor multi-color Icicle

Hi Kary!
This card is gorgeous!!!! I love those butterflies, the embossing makes them almost real! I never tried inking up my embossing plate, wanted to, but never did, but I'm sure I will soon, 'cause it looks awesome!!!
Fabulous card!!
